3. Veggie sausages –

If you are missing meat sausages, try soy or tofu sausages instead! They are readily available in most supermarkets nowadays so making them yourself is almost unnecessary except if you want to be sure of what’s inside your sausage. Just grill them on both sides until they turn golden brown and that’s all! Do not forget to accompany them with some healthy side dishes like oven-baked sweet potatoes.

4. Tofu scramble –

This is a kind of alternative to scrambled eggs that can be served as a breakfast or lunch meal, especially for those who cannot imagine their lives without eggs. It contains much less fat and much more protein than standard scrambles, so it’s highly recommended if you want to lose weight! And don’t worry about the “eggy” taste – tofu has none of it! You can even add vegetables such as bell peppers, onions and mushrooms to make your scramble look appetizing and mouthwatering.

5. Baked potatoes –

Going veggie doesn’t mean going through a potato famine! There are plenty of recipes for baked potatoes with different fillings, from simple cheese and broccoli to more complex ones with sour cream, mushrooms and even bacon. So feel free to experiment!

6. Vegetable soup –

This is a perfect meal for a cold winter day. It’s not only warming and comforting but also very healthy and low in calories. You can make it with any vegetables you have at hand, so there’s no need to worry about being limited in your choices.

7. Grilled vegetables –

These are incredibly healthy and tasty side dishes that can be prepared quickly and easily. Just choose your favourite vegetables, brush them with some olive oil and grill them on skewers or on a grill pan until they are nicely charred. Sprinkle it with sea salt and freshly ground black pepper and you’re done!

8. Falafel –

These deep-fried balls or patties made of chickpeas are a popular vegetarian dish in many countries. They can be served as an appetizer, main course or side dish. You can either fry them yourself or buy them already prepared from the store.
