Vegetable Pasta With Cauliflower Masala

The recipe will give plenty of inspiration for a midweek meal. The method is quick and easy to make. It won’t take much of your time or efforts. Everything can be done in very less time and yes people will surely fall in love with the taste irrespective of it being easy.

Take 250gm of cauliflower, Chop it into small pieces.

Boil a liter of water and keep it aside, now add a tablespoon of salt in the water. Soak the pieces of cauliflower in the mixture of salt and boil water for 15 minutes. After 15 minutes, take out the pieces of cauliflower and wash in cold water. Keep aside the cauliflower pieces. Now cook the washed cauliflower in a pressure cooker and keep it aside to cool.


Preparation time – 15 minutes.

Cooking time – 20 minutes.

Total time – 35 minutes.

Vegetable Pasta with Cauliflower Masala.


For cooking pasta

  • 1 cup or 100 grams heaped penne pasta
  • 4 cups of water
  • Half tablespoon of salt.
Vegetable Pasta With Cauliflower Masala

For the preparation of the masala

  • Half teaspoon ginger garlic paste
  • One-third cup finely chopped spring onions
  • 1 cup finely chopped tomatoes
  • 250 grams of small pieces of boiled cauliflowers.
  • One-fourth teaspoon of turmeric powder
  • One-fourth teaspoon of cumin powder
  • One-fourth teaspoon of black pepper powder
  • One-fourth teaspoon of Kashmiri red chili powder
  • One-fourth teaspoon of  coriander powder
  • One-fourth cup of green peas.
  • One-fourth cup finely chopped capsicum
  • One-fourth cup of finely chopped coriander leaves
  • One -fourth teaspoon of garam masala.

Preparation Of The Pasta

Heat four cups of water with half tablespoon of salt till it comes to boil. Add the pasta and cook it till pasta become aldente or firm to the bite.  Strain the pasta and keep it aside.

Preparation Of The Masala With Cauliflower

  •  Add two tablespoon of oil in the pan and heat it then add the finely chopped spring onions.’
  • Sauté till the onion becomes translucent.
  • Add ginger garlic paste, sauté till the raw aroma of the paste goes away.
  • Add one cup of chopped tomatoes.
  • Stir and sauté in a low flame till the tomatoes soften.
  • Then add all the spice powder one by one and mix it well.
  • Now add the chopped cauliflowers, green peas, and capsicum.
  • Put salt as per taste and sauté for a minute.
  • When the vegetable is cooked, add the pasta and mix it well.
  • Now add two tablespoons of chopped coriander leaves and finely chopped spring onion greens.

Add garam masala and mix well. Then  switch off the flame.

Serve the Vegetable Pasta with cauliflower hot or warm garnished with finely chopped coriander leaves.
