Are you looking for a few good vegetarian food ideas? There are literally thousands of different kinds of vegetarian food out there. The problem is trying to sift through them to find the ones that are the tastiest, healthiest, and most filling. Here is a list of some excellent vegetarian foods that just may be the right things for you.

Making Veggie Pizza

One of my favorite vegetarians (and my guests as well) is veggie pizza. If you don’t have it, you’re missing out! Veggie pizza is super easy to make and easy to eat. I love veggie pizzas because they are filled with tons of vegetables, lots of protein, lots of flavor, and tons of veggies. Not only that, but veggie pizzas usually contain chickpeas, broccoli florets, carrots, onions, mushrooms, and other nutritious goodies.

Rice Cakes

Another terrific vegetarian food idea for vegetarians is rice cakes. There are many different kinds of rice cakes. Some have walnuts in them, some have garlic, and others just have real sugar in them. Whatever you decide to do, make sure you have at least one kind. My friends and family absolutely love rice cakes. It’s so much fun having them every time we have a party.

Some people also like to make pasta in the vegetarian way. You can find a variety of pasta types that are made for vegetarians. Cook them in vegetable oil or soy sauce, and add any vegetables you like. My mom makes some delicious pasta that just about everyone raves about. It’s really simple stuff.

Many vegetarians love dessert, and I have another favorite for them, fruit desserts. There are so many out there, that you can literally never go wrong. One of my favorites is veggie pizza. I don’t really like veggie pizza that much, but some of my friends actually do.

Whole Wheat Flour

Vegetarian pizza is usually made with whole wheat flour. If you want it to be really flavorful, make it a bit thinner. No matter what type of vegetables you use, make sure you top it off with some nutritional yeast, which will give it a bit of a crunchier texture. This way, vegetarians can still eat their favorite veggie pie without feeling guilty about it.

Toppings are an important part of veggie pizza, and they can vary from person to person. Some vegetarians don’t use onions and garlic, and that’s fine. Others don’t have any onion or garlic, and that’s okay as well. I’ve had some vegetarians make their own bread crumbs, adding just a bit of extra spices to bring out the flavor. That’s completely up to you, and what you enjoy.

As long as you’re following a healthy vegetarian diet, you should be able to enjoy a hearty vegetarian pizza with no problem. Just be sure not to over-stuff your face with the toppings. A little bit of spinach sprinkled on is perfectly fine, but topping it with a lot of cheese will only make it oily and cheesed out. Be sure to serve your veggie pizza on a plate that won’t clog your pores.
